Dans Le Noir is a chain of restaurants and spas where guests are served in total darkness, a concept called dark dining or blind dining. Dans Le Noir was founded in 2004 in Paris, with subsequent locations in London, Barcelona, New York, St. Petersburg, and Kiev. Dans Le Noir claims that through limiting the sense of sight, other senses are intensified. Diners at Dans Le Noir have little knowledge of the entrées, appetizers, desert, and wine choice of their meal, which is primarily inspired by French cuisine. Diners are served by either blind or visually impaired wait-staff and a percentage of the profits of the restaurants fund research on visual disabilities

• The restaurant is organized into different areas
  1. A large Bar and a Lounge where people are welcome and where we take orders. This bar is open daily for any client to have a drink or a snack in a warm and friendly environment. You will find also lockers to keep your coats, bags, an phones safe during the experience.
  2. A large Dining Room in the dark, up to 60 seats. All has been organized to minimize accidents and to increase security. The all room is under infra-red cameras to be controlled in case of problem.
  3. An ante-room allows visitors to enter the restaurant without any intrusion of light. Dans le Noir? has a special security system and clearly indicated emergency exits which light up if needed. All safety and emergency procedures have been approved by the Authorities to ensure customers’ safety.
