If you want to spend an evening at the Theatre in Paris, I can advise you a show based on your personality, vaudeville to tragedy, whether in a dinner theater as the "Point-Virgule" or in a more imposing theater like "Athénée Louis-Jouvet", that was a historical monument in 1995 (but it is closed for renovation from tonight July 30, 2015, until September 1, 2016).
If you are more available in the day, I'd recommend a visit behind the scenes of a theater (where some course or theater rehearsals take place) and a passage to the cultural center "Centquatre-Paris" in the Flanders area (19th district), which is interested in all forms of artistic disciplines : theater, music, film, visual arts, dance, video as well as culinary arts, urban and digital.
Its "Maison des Petits" (see photo), dedicated to parenting, forges direct relationships with people in a close relationship.
There are also some "gourmet break" shops at Paris-Centquatre and if you're a fan of shopping, I'd recommend you to visit "Emmaus Défi" shop, a wealth of objects full of stories : antique furniture, vintage clothing for adults and children, dishes, books, appliances , jewelry, vinyl, CD or trinkets ... You can sit on a couch to read a book and then leave with the book and, why not, the couch itself ! Or participate in a knitting & Sewing workshop ... There are also the creations "Emmaus Made" of employees who know how to turn vinyls into vintage stool, shabby furniture into pop furnishings and ties into scales ...
The Paris-Centquatre is also a birthplace of world-class performances open to all current art through a contemporary and compelling program, supported by artists from around the world.
